On your break...

Well, I'm sure you're gearing up for break, if not on it already (like one I know, already enjoying the florida sunshine...). I'm sure you'll enjoy your time away from the stresses and doldrums of school for two weeks and your time with your friends, family...and I'm sure, your pillow (most days until noon - right!) As you enjoy this break, and I hope you do - remember that it is only a break from school! not a break from your walk with God. The opposite is true - this is the perfect time to develop or start back up your personal devotional time with God. Pick a book of the Bible (it might be easiest to choose a shorter one, like I John, Ephesians, Philippians, etc.) and read it through each day for a week...do the same for a second week.

So, I hope you enjoy your time away from school - only take that time and strengthen your walk with God by spending time with Him!!!

Merry Christmas,
P. Steve

God in the small things!

Well, we've had problems with garage doors before - opening only half way, then quitting...opening 10 inches, then quitting. I've figured out the problem before, but have yet to make the proper adjustments for smooth operation and I was almost bitten by it this past sunday night. After Lifegroups our family headed home through a cold and heavy rain. We pulled up into our drive way and promptly pushed the garage door opener - 10 inches; that's all it opened. Being a little worried that my family would need to walk through rain with tired attitudes, I asked God (a little selfishly) to just let it work. I tried again - up it went all the way!!! In this case - God worked in something little. I thanked Him and wanted to let you know that God is in the small stuff!!! Don't forget to notice Him...and ask Him!

Signing Off!
